Billene Cannon - President
Billene received her Bachelors from Texas Tech and her Masters from San Jose State. After having taught courses in business at the high school and the collegiate level, she found her passion in 1994 and founded Conference Management Services, Inc. CMS strives to provide very personal, unique service for each client. Our success is based on these relationships that grow and our ability to improve our services as we learn and improve with each event.
Christopher Garza - Registration Manager, Exhibition and Sponsorship Coordinator
Christopher began working for CMS in March of 1998 while attending Texas A&M University. He continued to work on campus at the TEES Office of Sponsored Research until joining CMS full time in January 1999. Christopher started in an administrative role. His initiative, work ethic, and people skills steered him into the function of accounts receivable/collections clerk and to travel as part of the on-site registration team. His responsibilities continued to grow which lead to the creation of the registration manager position. Over the years, Christopher’s role has continued to expand and his title now includes exhibition and sponsorship coordinator.
Lance Cotton - Senior Developer
Lance started at CMS in 2002 fresh out of Texas A&M University. He is the architect of nearly all of CMS' software systems, with special emphasis on creating a customized experience tailored to each client's individual needs.
Julie Gandre - Accountant
Julie earned her B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She is the office accountant and manages the books for our clients meetings, conferences, and workshops. Julie has experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. She is QuickBooks certified and a member of the IMA. Before joining CMS she was the bookkeeper for a childcare service and the volunteer fundraising coordinator for Camp Kesem- Texas A&M. Since joining CMS in 2009, Julie’s role has expanded to include travel grant administrator, on-site registration services, and volunteer coordinator.
Mike Simon - Developer
Mike began working for CMS as he earned his Computer Science Degree from Texas A&M University in 2010. He has worked on many of the various systems CMS has built, enjoys customizing them and building new features.
Kevin Guillory - Event Planner
Kevin started at CMS in 2013 to work on recording production and has since expanded into a broader role of event planning and organization.
